Northwind Art
Website relaunch
Arts/education

The challenge
When two well-known and beloved nonprofit arts organizations in Northwest Washington joined forces as a way to weather the COVID pandemic, the need for a cohesive, engaging website became crystal clear. Building the new online home for Northwind Art — the nonprofit formed when Port Townsend School for the Arts and Northwind Art Center merged — had to accomplish several important goals. Not only did the new website need to be easier to manage, but it also had to have the right strategies and solutions in place for promoting exhibitions, selling artwork, and hosting online classes.

What we noticed
The Northwind Art team was spending far too much time managing disparate technical systems, preventing them from focusing on the important work of reintroducing the merged organizations to an eager and enthusiastic community.

What we delivered
Brand strategy • Digital ecosystem • Website strategy • Website development • Messaging • E-solutions for classes and art sales

Impact
By improving clarity around the new brand and streamlining solutions within Northwind Art’s digital ecosystem, visitors, customers, and students were able to navigate exhibition information, a robust online shop, and a rich collection of course offerings with ease. In addition, the internal Northwind Art team had more time to do what they do best — inspiring and elevating the artists of the Pacific Northwest.
